This former Loyalist home in Frelighsburg has been restored and expanded to accommodate a private library. The contemporary addition respectfully echoes the original architecture, drawing on Georgian design principles. The red brick extension, connected to the main house by a small veranda, blends subtly with the existing structure. Traditional elements such as sash windows, wood detailing, and a reconstructed porch based on archival records ensure a seamless continuity between old and new.
The result is a quiet, warm space dedicated to reading, opening onto the surrounding orchard landscape.
